I have no clue who to pick with my pick (#3 overall) in my pay league. I will probably aim for a RB, but you never know who the crazies I play with will pick. Last year the guy with #1 took Rich Gannon, and one guy used the 7th pick in the second on a Vanderjagt.

So who is generally considered top 5 material?

Depends on your scoring system, but LT, Alexander, McGahee, Manning, Culpepper are up there.

List some of your options and maybe we can have a little vote here to help you out...

Sounds like a league full of idiots.

No way McGahee goes top five on average in a redraft league unless it's a league full of Bills fans.

no way you take a qb that early either.. qbs are a dime a dozen.. you can get one in the 5th round - 7th round that will do fine.

my top 10 picks would look something like this..

LT2
Holmes
Alexander
Edge
Moss
Dillon
Mcgahee
Deuce
Portis
K. Jones
Owens

TDs are 6 points (every Pos)
1 pt for every passing yard
1 pt for every 25 receiving
1 pt for every 10 rushing
-2 for turnovers
Team D

1 QB
2 RB
3 WR
1 TE
1 K
1 D

I think homerism and alcohol had a lot to do with the stupid picks.

1 point for every passing yard? I'd take Manning and call it a night. That can't be right is it?

well i assumed you were getting 1 pt for ever 10 receiving.. 1 pt per 25 is ridiculous.. you mine as well not take any of the top receivers, because that scoring system makes them all worthless compaired to rbs.

in my keeper league, i have randy moss, priest holmes, willis mcgahee, mason, vanderjagt, shockey.
due to injuries to moss and holmes my team didnt do too well. i have the 3rd pick in the draft and want to get all of my big 3 back. what 2 would u keep 2 secure the 3rd? i'm thinking willis and holmes.

This is how i would do it and I have won many leagues in Fantasy...

1st is Tomlinson and he should go 1st in every league.
2. You cant pass on PEYTON MANNING, even know I like a RB in the 1st
3. Deends on ALEXANDER I had him last year and he was a stud....
4. Cullpepper would be my choice here.....
5. I would go with Deuce McAllister he does everything..
6. Jamal Lewis this guy will run all year now that he has done his jail time, he will be a FANTASY STUD again this year.....
7. Clinton Portis
8. Randy Moss will have a huge year, COLLINS loves to throw deep and thats all MOSS knows how to do....
9. Terell Owens depending on his situation.........
10. Torry Holt/ MArvin Harrison the most dependable fantasy guys out there, enough said.
11. I would look at WILLIS, I have a rule that I never draft a BILLS player but this could be my 1st in the last 5 years.....
12. Donovan McNabb
13. Edgerrin James
14. Priest Holmes
15. Kevin Jones- This guy is gonna be a stud
16. Corey Dillon
17 Julius Jones
18. Ahmad Green
19. Tiki Barber- will be good value again this year...
20. Steven Jackson-in this system he will shine
21. Rudi Johnson- signed big contract to stayll have a monster year on an up and coming team....
22. Chad Johnson- good WR if he could keep his mouth shut, but does perform
23. SLEEPER of the draft and will go early-LAMONT JORDAN, finally this guy gets his chance and will make the best of it....
24. Javon Walker- had a breakout year last year I predict a huge year this one.
25. Andre Johnson- This guy is the up and coming WR in the league on a team that is loaded with young talent, Carr will make this guy look good!!!!!!

This is my top 25 for this year..........I might have some of the guys a spot or 2 away but its pretty close...

I agree with Tatonka on this one....I would say LT2, Holmes, and then Alexander....If he holds out I would start looking at the Moss's or TO's if you get a point per receptioin.

Stay away from Priest unless you're sure you can land Larry Johnson.

generally you should draft nothing but RB's in the first two rounds, unless QB's like Manning and Culpepper fall in you're lap... if the RB pool is starting to dwindle and you have a late second rounder use it on a top WR, given that your scoring for RB's and WR's is pretty similar. Unless it's a top WR like Harrison, Moss, or TO, wait a few rounds because even the "lower tier" (IE: rated out of top 10) RB's will get more points than a good WR in most leagues.
