Parrish: Losman is ready
There's talk of a budding offense in Buffalo, especially considering young players Willis McGahee, Lee Evans and veteran Eric Moulds can all produce at a high level. But all of their productivity hinges on QB J.P. Losman, a second-year player with almost no pro experience.
Rookie Roscoe Parrish disagrees with that.
"J.P. has looked real good," Parrish said. "He's an athletic quarterback, runs like a 4.5 and made a lot of big plays. With him at quarterback we could have an explosive offense."
Parrish, who played with a variety of quarterbacks at the University of Miami, said that Losman was "as mobile as Derrick Crudup, but has Ken Dorsey's smarts. He's smart up top, makes a lot of good decisions and watches a lot of film.
"I think he's ready to be a starter because he has a lot of guys like Eric Moulds supporting him and teaching him the game. I think he'll do just fine."
Parrish has been working in the slot and also returning punts.
"I'm doing pretty good in those roles," he noted. "The main thing is learning the plays. Once you learn the plays, you'll know what you're doing out there."
