The only things certain about the Buffalo Sabres broadcast plans this coming season are that Rick Jeanneret will return as play-by-play man and Jim Lorentz as analyst and the games will be carried on MSG and WGR-AM.
"I haven't really had a chance to finalize anything beyond Rick and Jim," said Larry Quinn, the Buffalo Sabres' managing partner. That means the futures of reporter Danny Gare and post-game analyst Mike Robitaille are up in the air. http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20050716/1056548.asp

Apparently there is still some question about MSG carrying Sabres games, especially outside the Buffalo area.

What I think the Sabres should to is create a "Sabres Television Network" and have local news channels carry the feeds. This is what the Bills do for preseason games (BTN).

That would be the best for me because I don't have cable or the dish. :D

As long as my viewing of the Sabres games isn't affected on NHL Centre Ice, then I'll be ok. Otherwise:

I think it sucks they are on MSG and empire is gone...they covered 97% of the games and I have a feeling a lot of that is going to be lost or we are going to be seeing tape delays.
