Pitcher John Smoltz said the Braves are still living as the Buffalo Bills of the mid-'90s did, answering questions about why they're falling short so much in the postseason. But Smoltz is nearing the end of his career and knows Atlanta's unmatched run of 13 straight division titles will get its due in time.
"When we're all done and not playing, only as time passes will we be totally respected," Smoltz said. "If it turns out we don't win another championship, we'll have to deal with that frustration every year. With the credentials and legacy we leave, it will only be appreciated once we're gone and that's probably what's happening with them (the Bills) now. http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20050717/7065461.asp scroll or page down until you see Braves new World
