I’m a closet Browns fan. I love their old time style. I love their helmets. I love their all white uniforms. I love watching the highlights of the late 80’s Browns teams that were so good. I’ve been to Cleveland for 3 Browns games. The first two I was happy to see them lose because my Bills beat the hell out of them, but last year I was there for their first victory over the Ravens. It was a playoff atmosphere. It was also the first time I’d been to a football game that didn’t involve the Bills (over my 26 years, I’ve now been to 127 Bills games, give or take 4 or 5, not including preseason). I’m sure many of you have me beat, but being 26, I think I’m doing OK. Anyway, I went to that game not knowing what to expect, I wore all of my Bills stuff and took some crap, but explained to everybody that I was coming down to give my support to the Browns. It was a lot of fun, as my 5 friends and myself got right into the game and cheered mightily for the Browns.
Anyway, the Browns have a legitimate shot at the playoffs this weekend, and I’m very excited about it. If they make it in, it will make the playoffs a little more exciting for me. So Go Browns.
