If you want to save a keeper from last season it will cost you your 1st round draft pick.

Here is a thread where some owners listed their player(s). For those who didn't you are SOL.

For those of us who keep a player I will compose a list and make sure everyone reads it. When your 1st pick comes up then draft your player. If somebody else does they will have to settle for whoever is available when your draft position comes up and trade them to you.

Now I remember. We only had 1 RB spot and a flex in that league, right? That's why I did well cuz I had Owens, Holt, and Horn. I remember drafting and you guys were taking the second tier RB's so I took the prime WR's.

I notice people get better at drafting every year. Now it comes down to whether you keep up to date on the FA's and guess well with your sleepers.

Kevin Jones was one of my sleepers that did quite well last season, and Staley was good when he played but he missed a lot of games late in the year. I musta had somebody that got me enough points to compete but I didn't care to even try to retain.

Right now my guess is that I might keep Holt at #11, but I'll have to wait until I start doing my FF homework before I know for sure.

We don't have to specify that until just before the draft, or maybe a day earlier, right?

also, there's a ton of credible sites that now have free FF so I agree with LOG that we shouldn't use Yahoo's free service anymore. I like it there but the lack of a waivers process sucks bad so if they do that again this season I'd say move it. NFL.com has very good free service.

I was just looking at all my geeky FF spreadsheets I have to fill out. Sigh. That's a ton of work ahead of me. But I ended up netting about $600 last season after winning 3 CBS leagues so I guess it is worth it.

I used to use NFL.com, but they were so damned slow, especially on gameday. I don't use them for anything now.

Hmm. I had teams there in years prior and didn't have any problems, but I had none last year when it was totally free so perhaps that wrecked it. I know the same thing happened with one of the other free sites (was it SmallWorld sports or something like that?) the year before. It was so bad on gameday you had to make sure everything was done on Saturday or you were hosed.

I looked into nfl.com but they didn't have some of the settings I'm looking for like ST's return TD.

We will have to make sure everyone knows ahead of time and remind them when their pick is up not to draft any of the keepers.

If for some reason they did then they will be forced to draft in the other owners position and trade them back to each other.

If someone isn't gonna make the draft they gotta make sure they keep them off the top of their ranking list.

Didn't you have Priest Holmes too?

It would cost you your #9 pick not the #11 to keep a player.

I'm pretty positive you had Holmes. You drafted him #1 and then I took LT #2.

I thought you had him and told researched it and told everyone not to draft him but Fairway did.
