Phoenix is the 6th largest city in the U.S.

Buffalo is like #40.

Phoenix is gaining residents.

Buffalo is losing.

Buffalo is in the shadow of NYC... they could have 6 million people and be a "small market"

I did watch it on ESPN news... I didn't care... half the cities in the NHL are small markets... at least Buffalo is the king of the small guys

Bettman said small market & Buffalo because a Buffalo reporter brought it up in his question. I believe it was Mark Gaughn from the Buffalo News he asked Bettman if the new CBA would benefit smaller market teams like Buffalo.

They mean by we're a small market team because there's no jobs in Buffalo everyone is leaving thanks to our mayor Masiello thank god he's not running for another term he's messed up this city for to long and to Erie County and Joel Giambra. But they think a Bass Pro Shop is going to help bring people back to Buffalo or a casino and the waterfront revitalization project IT'S NOT! Our city is like a ghost town we have abandoned grain elevators rusting away since Buffalo was founded I could have sworn I just saw a tumbleweed blow down Main St. Sometimes I just crack myself up :lmao:
:lolabove:
:sorry: to go :offtopic: with the mayor Masiello and Joel Giambra and the Bass Pro shop and the casino

Skate, the "small market" label is just semantics. I don't think you'd consider Buffalo an over-spender like the Flyers, Stars, or Red Wings, would you?
