    Flyers get things going

Looks like the Flyers have bought out the contracts of Leclair and Amonte.

Two old guys. These are the ones that are going to suffer.

LeClair, who entered the lockout due $9 million US this season, was to make $6.84 million after the leaguewide 24 per cent pay cut. Amonte, who started the lockout at about $5.61 million, was due $4.26 million.

F LeClair, I still remember his goal in the playoffs going through the side of the net.

hmmmm.. Leclair back to Montreal might be nice. I saw his first ever NHL game there in 88.... Provided his back is not going to make him retire that is.

This is no shock at all. In fact, I even stated in one of our other threads that I figured these 2 would be cap casualties. The Flyers are one of the teams who had been horrible in overpaying guys who hadn't produced to their level of play in quite some time. This is the first of what will be many vets who will be bought out.

Next up, IMO: Dallas will clean house, and buyout their guys they've tried to dump for the past few seasons. Adios, Guerin & Turgeon!
