I am going to be in California week of opener and thought I'd check the cost of flying back for opener from SNA (John Wayne / Santa Anna / Orange County).
Price for this trip today is $204 ($247 with Bush imposed 911 fees)

With this price I should be able to justify flying to game and having my company pay it rather than me spending long weekend in hotel.
I haven't checked other days (I need to work Friday) but I suspect that other days are available at same price. My boss who is a Patriots fan is giving me that weekend off so I can go to opener. What I'll miss is some of the Friday night and Saturday night activities.
