Rookie Bryant Kicks Giants Into Playoffs

A telling-off from coach Jim Fassel put rookie kicker Matt Bryant in the right frame of mind for an overtime 39-yard field goal that gave the New York Giants a 10-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles and a berth in the NFL playoffs on Saturday.
In the day's other game, Oakland wrapped up the best record in American Conference and ended Kansas City's playoff hopes with a comfortable 24-0 win.

Bryant missed from 36 yards earlier in the game, which got Fassel on his case.

The biggest thing we learned from the Bills is that they are a resilient bunch and did what they had to do to win instead of past years where they fold like a cheap lawn chair.
