At midseason, these were our choices for the best and worst in the NFL:
Marty Schottenheimer of San Diego, best coach; quarterback Brett Favre, best offensive player; linebacker Derrick Brooks of Tampa, best defensive player; and Dave Campo of Dallas and Mike Tice of Minnesota, tie for most disappointing coach.
Now come the end-of-the-regular-season awards. There have been a few changes, starting with the Coach of the Year choice.
