I know! I think it's Doug Flutie's fault!

Gruden's gonna teach him how to get rid of the ball faster.

Rob Johnson will always have potential.

he always walks off the field looking like he is going to cry. Like he is scared to get yelled at.

do you guys notice how his teamates seem to be so annoyed by him? keyshawn looked like he wanted to kill him when he called the timeout.. gruden looks like he wants to kill him when he just threw the ball away and they took the fieldgoal..

i really dont see how he can enjoy playing anymore.. if i was him, i would take that 25 mill he made in buffalo and go back to surfing. go live the good life and not have to worry about constant criticism and getting my ass handed to me everytime i am on the field.

He needs a running game to complement him.

Plus he only has one good WR. Give the guy a break. :snicker:

Yeah you guys, give Rob a break. He's gonna be a great quarterback one of these days. ;) I think he's gonna go far!:D

lordofgun

He'll be better without the pressure of a 25 million dollar contract. The Bills gave up on him too early.

maybe when he goes to play in the cfl next season.

he just doesnt have any qb sense whatsoever

Me too. I think Rob will be the NFL quarterback for 2003. You just sit back and watch. He's really shaping up nicely in Tampa Bay. Only four sacks in the first half, what an improvement. By next season he'll be down to two a half. All the NFL teams are going to be putting up their best players to have a chance at signing him. I just hope Buffalo decides to go for Rob again. I think the Bills can afford to lose Moulds and Drew for Rob. ;)

No matter how hard R. J. is working to lose this game, Tampa Bay as a team is working against him. They should let him lose it fair and square. After all he is the quarterback of the future. Does Chicago have to pay RJ's salary this week?

GO!!!...BUFFALO!!!...

Yeah, RJ is painful to watch, but he'd be a LOT more painful to watch if he was wearing a Bills uni!

Tampa better hope Brad is ok for the playoffs. If Tampa gets down in games and have to rely on the pass they are in trouble.

The Bucs are screwed if they have to rely on RJ in the playoffs.
His pocket presence can be described in two words:
deer...headlights

I just hope that young man is wearing all of his protective gear. He has been prone to vicious and violent sacks and hits.

Give RJ a break. Its not his fault the fans in Buffalo didn't like him. He played his heart out for the Bills.

His effort for the Bills was reminiscent of Brett Favre's effort on the play last year when Michael Strahan got his sack record.

This part I cannot agree with. It wasn't that he didn't put forth an effort to succeed. He just never had the mental capacity it required to succeed. His three main faults were shooting off his mouth in that QB controversy, taking forever to read a defense, and not having enough faith in his receivers that he would let them fight for the ball on occasion.

i'm surprised the Bucs managed to win that game.....
i hope, for Chucky's sake, that Brad Johnson gets healthy for the playoffs.

"Watching RJ is painful..."

Not as painful as being RJ!

Scott

RJ = 2-0 as a starter. He made no big mistakes and the Bucs won. Maybe it was not pretty but the Bucs had a lot riding on that game. I am sure Gruden is happy with the outcome.

If the Bears had a offense and Tampa was forced to throw the ball more we might have seen 10 sacks last night.

RJ Sucks!!! If you're the QB, you need to be the leader, right or wrong. He probably should have told Keyshawn to shut the h*** up and play. RJ isn't the type of QB that players will go to war for. Most of them seem to be annoyed.

Watching Henry Burris is painful. He may be the worst QB I have EVER seen. Worse than Kay Stephenson.

Dozerdog
12-30-2002, 09:58 AM
Worse than Matt Kofler?

Worse than Joe Dufek?

Worse than Willie Totten? You can't be worse than Willie Totten, can ya?

Earthquake Enyart
12-30-2002, 10:18 AM
OK He looks like Willie Totten's brother. But he is definately worse than Dufek or Kofler.

What a laugh- Scotty's still drumming the pro-RJ drum, huh? For a guy who was supposed to be the next great NFL QB a few years back, his performance last night was SORRY.

Judge - Not pro RJ, necessarily but someone has to take the other side or it would just be a bashing and not a discussion.
RJ outperformed the Bears QB!

He gets vet pay to outperform a rookie qb.

The Bears QB was #3 on the depth chart until Friday of last week, and hadn't worked out with the starting unit until then.

Give Henry Burris 8 years and countless opportunities like RJ has had and you'll see Burris be a much better QB than RJ.

Henry Burris is horrible. He was outplayed in preseason by an undrafted free agent. The only reason he is still around is that that knucklehead Angelo actually gave up a low round draft pick for the slug. To keep that undrafted FA, he would have made himself look foolish.
