For Those Who Wanted To Draft Wilkerson

There were a number of Bills fans who were clamoring for the Bills to draft Ben Wilkerson, the center out of LSU, on draft day who were unhappy about the Bills not taking Wilkerson instead of D.Preston and questioned why the Bills made no effort to sign Wilkerson as a UDFA after he went undrafted.

This may explain why the Bills made no effort to get Wilkerson:

"LSU's Ben Wilkerson, considered one of the nation's premier college centers before suffering a knee injury last October, failed his NFL physical and was placed on the Bengals' active/non-football injury list Friday....

...Wilkerson was injured on the final play of LSU's 24-7 win over Vanderbilt last Oct. 30 when the tendon that runs across his left kneecap ripped. The knee required two operations -- one to fix the tendon and insert a protective wire, another to remove the wire...."

Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

Personally, I was never that high on Wilkerson. I wanted Incognito, but he was hurt too and even then, he went pretty high. The Rams are going to have (and do have) a sick line - just like Oakland!!!

I forgot, what team picked up Wilkerson???

Yet more evidence that, just perhaps, NFL GMs know a little bit more than fan board posters.

Nah... TD even mentioned pre-draft when asked about Wilkerson he said he has talent but also has knee issues he must deal with.
