    Anyone watching the draft?

I just got up and missed Montreal's pick.

    A GOALIE?

I gotta know what the explanation was behind that one.

    I found this:

    5 Montreal Carey Price G Tri-City (WHL)
E.J. Hradek's Take: Are you kidding? Why would the Canadiens select a goalie at No. 5? They have Jose Theodore, who turns 29 in September. Price is the top-rated goalie, but he doesn't fit in Montreal. In fact, one scout told me he wasn't sure Price would live up to the expectations. They could have taken Gilbert Brule. They could have taken Jack Skille or Marc Staal. I don't get this one.

Which basically just says exactly what I am thinking......

Maybe they are worried about "Thug Life" Theodore's family?

I think the bigger event for me was watching the Rags move right into place before Buffalo, and swiping Staal. While Darcy probably didn't have the common sense to grab him were he available, I figure there had to be some vulgarity spewed somewhere besides my house when the Rangers traded with Atlanta.

But Theo is not in any trouble! The cops were ADAMANT about that when that crap went down. I'm sure he's dirty... but he's the startng goalie for the HAbs. they'd never touch him. makes no sense

I know Theo isn't in any trouble. It was my attempt (Obviously failed) at humor, at Theodore's expense.

Could there be anything more boring then an NHL Draft?

I've heard (and made) all the jokes.... but i can't see how this works for the life of me. I can only assume they will sign the 1 year restricted offer to theo this year and let him go UFA next year. A horrible mistake IMO. Theo is a top goalie who has proven he can perform under pressure.

The Habs did make a nice move to trade up in round to and take Latandresse.... If you like offensive players who can't skate for ****.....
