Bills Place CB Thomas on PUP List

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) -- Buffalo Bills cornerback Kevin Thomas was placed on the physically unable to perform list Saturday as the team opened training camp.

Thomas, entering his fourth year with the Bills, has been bothered by a right knee injury since spring minicamps.

``He's on the PUP list until he gets healed up a little better,'' Buffalo coach Mike Mularkey said Saturday night.

There is no date set for Thomas' return.

Really bad news but it opens a very great opportunity to see if King is ready for the next step...

Man I hope it's nothing serious. That leaves us with 3 experienced corners in Clements, McGee, and Greer. It is good for King to get more opportunities, but I'm thinking on passing downs with 4 corners that maybe Vincent would go to corner and Baker would come in at free safety. We need Thomas back, though. He is a solid nickel back.
