...how do tickets for the game get sold? will the ticket office contact the season ticket holders first, or is it a free for all? this being my second year of having seasons, i was just wondering how that works.

thanks

season ticket holders get first dibs...when it appears we could possibly host any playoff games, the Bills send out order forms to the season ticket holders..have to be returned by a certain date. If the Bills don't host these playoff games, the money paid is either applied to the season ticket account for the following season or refunded.

Thanks for the info... I had that question about a week ago, and forgot to ask!

Any teams that have 8 or 9 wins by like the 12th week, the league authorizes them to send out playoff vouchers, which include a generic first round playoff ticket and a set date Championship game ticket. The prices go higher with each round.

As with the regular season, Season Ticket holders have the right to purchase extra tix before they go onsale for the general public.

Approximately how much do they run - on an average basis?

I'm asking so I know if I need to save "nickels" instead of pennies for an extra trip.

Approximately how much do they run - on an average basis?good question...prices have gone up since the last time. But I will say this..Wild card games and Divisional round games were the same price...the AFC Title game is higher priced.

The only unused playoff tickets I have are the AFC title game tix from the 96-97 season...I'm thinking my seats were $26 each for a regular game...these were $48 each

Since I've had season tickets (1998 I think) we almost made the playoffs one time and I got something at home saying that if we did, and we had a home game, the cost would be $109. This was quite a few years back also. No doubt now it might be closer to $150 per seat.

okay... but what WAS the price before?

Glad you asked.

(Keep in mind this is from the Glory Days, lol.)

1989 Championship: 35.00 (at Cinn)

1991 first round: 30.00 (Miami)
1991 Championship: 42.00 (LA Raiders)

1992 first round: 32.00 (KC)
1992 Championshp: 44.00 (Denver)

1994 first round: 29.00 (LA Raiders)
1994 Championship: 50.00 (KC)

I also have my stub from the Wild Card at the fish bowl in 1998, but my half doesn't have the price.

Suffice it to say you would need 50-60 bucks for a ticket. There are usually plenty available, as they are more expensive, especially at Christmas time, and the weather usually sucks.

But then again, we haven't hosted playoffs since the stadium was reconfigured, (down to 73,000) so I don't know what sales would be like.
