I've been checking out the way Leonhard has played and it got me thinking. I think we have not only the best starters at safety but the best depth at safety in the league. Vincent and Milloy are top 5 in the league at their positions. Baker showed us that he has all the skills and supposely he didn't know the playbook that well. Wire isn't that good at safety but is our special teams ace. Leonhard has really played well from what I've scene and read.

Goes a long way from Keion Carpenter, Travares Tillman, Tony Driver and Pierson Prioleau back there.

The other three were nothing special, but I thought Keion was pretty good :idunno:

He was decent but nothing like what we have now. That 2001 team was terrible.

i went to school with keion.. i loved it when we picked him up and he did play well for us.

i do like our safeties alot though.. i have a really good feeling about what i saw from vincent at the FS spot last year.. rod woodson was an awesome FS in the final 3 years of his career before his knees gave out.. i see vincent doing that as well.. those two with nate and mcgee on the sides are gonna be very strong.

our defense ****ing rocks.

I would say the Eagles are good but we do have a very good set up db's ourselves.:beers:

Still we have an extremely strong defence all-around that will just shut some teams down.

Better than the Raven's DB's? I think we're in the top5, but the best in the league?

I have to go with Baltimore. Reed, Rolle, McAllister, and I also forget the fourth. I will put us third, possibly second if McGee shows us he can handle the 16 game schedule(which I believe he will)

Ravens. Ed Reed just puts them over the top.

I think we're top5 in DBs, behind Baltimore, Minnesota, and Philadelphia.

I'd take our secondary over Minnesotas but Baltimore and Philly are probably better then ours.

i say we are 2 behind baltimore.

the thing is, with both milloy and vince healthy all season (knock on wood) we might be number one.

we did lead the frickin NFL in takeaways.
