Here are only some of many interesting FAs

David Bowens DT
Tebucky Jones FS
Sam Gash FB
Tekeo Spikes OLB
Orlando Pace OLT
Sam Knight SS
Rosevelt Colvin SLB

What about Rick Lyle - he coud help us get inside Belichick's head, and he's a solid DT that we could plug in next to Ninja Williams.

I don't know why you'd want to bring in Orlando Pace when we've got Mike Williams moving to that position next year.

Sam Gash - I don't know, I think Philip Crosby is doing a good enough job as a blocking fullback. Tebucky Jones - I'm not really all that sure about this one either. David Bowens - yeah, only if the difference between his level of play, and that or Rick Lyle's is night and day, and he'll keep Olinemen off of our LBs then go get him. Sam Knight - I'm really content with the play of Prioleau, and Wire - they'll be better then solid next year. Rosevelt Colvin, please bring him in, so that we can put Keith Newman on the other side to rush the QB - which is what he excells at.

I'd hold off on drafting a protege for Bledsoe until we can use a first rounder on that position - which isn't going to be this upcoming draft - unless we do a lot of bargaining.

My draft

2nd - DE
3rd - FS
4th - OL
5th - LB
6th - LB or SS
7th - RB

Daryl Gardener, and Santana Dotson are also available at DT from the Redskins - not that I'd give them much thought unless we've failed to address our lack of DT talent outside of Pat Williams by the time July gets here.

Personally, I'd much rather have Colvin rushing the QB than Newman ... that's Colvin's strong suit. If they're keeping Newman (which I disagree with) I'd rather they bring in a better cover LB (don't really know of too many FAs that are good at that though).

We gotta look at the cap to - Newman has proven that he's capable of getting the job done - if Newman will cost less, that's the route I'd take personally - especially if we end up with Spikes from the Bengals.

I don't really see the need for the WR in the draft - if we keep Price.

I'd get rid of all of the same people you listed above, except for Price.

would you give up price for a stud d-lineman
and a akeo Spikes?
I would!

We should be able to get and keep all of the above - you've gotta remember, our cap situation is pretty damn good going into next season.

What do you think about dave moore?

Marcos20
01-04-2003, 02:48 PM
keep Dave and draft a TE .... Jay is gone
Bring Gardener, Dotson or Noble .. i dont see the need of a DE .. since IMO we have good ppl there (Schoebel, Jones, Ahanatu, Irons) ... but i see the need to put Irons on the field.

Then bring here a STAR LB... Spikes, Colvin, or why not Foreman?

Keep Newman ...

Then draft whatever you want ... i see a good DT in 2nd .. and then the best on the board

and draft Nugent (OSU Kicker)

Darius Hollandor or Daryl Gardener or Kelvin Pritchett
at DT
Mikhael Ricks TE
Takeo Spikes, and Chris Claiborne, or Mike Maslowski, or Rosevelt Colvin or Isaiah Kacyvenski or O.J. Brigance at LB
Peerless Price or Laveranues Coles or JaJuan Dawson or David Boston or Martay Jenkins or Frank Sanders

Draft a TE opposite Moore
Try to resign Price. BUT, if we have to cut him in order to sign Spikes or some other DEF player, then id rather cut Price
DE's are a big question mark. We have a bunch a OK players, but no one really good(maybe Schobel) Dont draft one.
Maybe draft a FS
Draft the best DT on the board

ublinkwescore
01-05-2003, 08:37 PM
Schobel will be better once we get a big DT to compliment Pat Williams better - like Bryant Young

I say we offer Price a little more than fair price to keep him here if he won't take it then buh bye, we need Colvin and Spikes, and I say we try for the DT from Dallas, get Chidi back forget Newman, we have Spoon back he said he feels great, and if Price doesn't sign back talk to Jackson.

BFBills
01-07-2003, 02:03 PM
is chidi's contract up?

Bert102176

Goodbye - JR, Jenkins, Robinson, Watson, Rogers
Keep - Newman(use his talents), Price (wishful thinking, if not overpriced)
Hello - Spikes or Colvin, FA Pass rusher, Jermaine Lewis
Draft - DE, DT, OLB, TE

TedMock

I'd like to keep Chidi too but as a rotater. Don't forget they signed Marcus Jones to IR during the year. He's a good end IF he completely recovers. He's a solid pass rusher and pretty big ..6'6", 280lbs. I think FA is the way to shore up the LB and DT problems. Newman's a good pass rusher if they use him that way for a change. I'd use the draft as a depth/special teams feast. A bunch of hard nosed, athletic depth guys who can go out there and make a special teams impact.

already looking better.

BFBills

oh cinci!
why all of the sudden do we have a sertain intrest in cinci?

Bert102176
01-11-2003, 11:27 PM
no matter what anyone says we need to keep Price, I believe he would take less money to stay here, but the 1,2,3 punch we have is very very good and if you bring in another WR you never know if he'll be a bust or be a good player I don't care if the free agent would be David Boston or who ever. I say we sign Price back bring in Spikes and a good DT resign Newman and put him at WLB with Spikes at SLB, try to find a kicker better than Hollis, if they can't then try to resign him, give Mooreman an extension, talk to Mikhael Ricks the TE, for DT I say Cletidus Hunt or Brandon Noble, and also try to get Rosevelt Colvin, and maybe try to get Bill Conaty back for depth then for whatever else we go through the draft.

Bert102176
01-11-2003, 11:33 PM
and we'll have Spoon back so that will help the LBing core

HenryRules
01-11-2003, 11:36 PM
IMO Spoon is more a depth player on our LB and shouldn't be starting ... I don't think he's close to being better than Fletcher and he's too slow to play the outside ... also, he has trouble covering and rushing the passer, so he wouldn't be able to sub in for other guys on 3rd downs either - and Polk did well on short-yardage, so again he's a no shown on short-yardage sits.

flecher was a big improvment!to bad we didn't keep cowert!
