I would like to play off of that goofy NFL Fantasy Football commercial and see what other people come up with.

Name any NFL QB, past or present (except Ken Stabler).

I'll start by saying that J.P. Losman is the reincarnation of John Elway.

I hope.  :father: :gobills:

That would be awesome, but I think he'll be a bit more of a scramble-for-postive-yards guy than Favre who is more of a scramble-to-save-his-life kind of QB who throws a lot more than J.P. will after escaping the pocket

I agree, they do have some similarities though.

Thanks for the post, I appreciate it. Let's go J.P. Favre !!

Thanks for the post, I appreciate it. Let's go J.P. Favre !!I seriously think hes more of a Steve Young with Favres arm strength. Favre throws a ton of picks.

JP's ratings at Tulane:

00- 111.2 (didnt start)
01- 169.6 only 49 attempts (didnt start)
02- 119.7 401 attempts (started)
03- 139.9 422 attempts (started)

it aint the NFL but he seems to be pretty damn effecient and doesnt throw alot of picks

To me its the best of Favre without the picks

J.P. Losman is the reincarnation of _______ . .....JP Losman!!

Let him win a game or two and develop a style before you compare him to anybody. Honestly what do I have to start with in order to answer the question??

C'mon man. You can't blame us for being excited. You know you would be thrilled to have Losman over any QB that has been in Dolphins camp since Dan Marino. You're going to find out, soon enough, that this kid is the real deal.

He did play college ball for 4 years, ya know, and has had plenty of practice reps, I think, for fans to at least get some idea of his style.

This was supposed to be for fun, by the way, in case you couldn't tell from my initial post.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think Flutie, Lamonica, Favre, and Young (watch film of him in a mirror since he's a lefty !) are all decent comparisons in style. We can only hope that he can match their accomplishments as well.

I didn't say anything about being excited, I said he hasn't played but a handful of snaps. I for one have seen nothing on him....ESPN didn't show any higlights of his scrimmage against the Pack.

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!

JP is JP. He wouldn't have anything else but. That is one reason I like the kid, he knows, he just knows!!!!!!!!!

People will try to compare him to other QB, but he doesn't necessarily want that. He just wants to be the best.

IMHO, Losman will use Sam Wyche to help him learn the best characteristics of the best from football history, past and those still playing.

J.P. Losman is the reincarnation of Joe Ferguson. just saw a video of him on WGRZ Sports Xtra they we're comparing Losman to Fergy. He could run and he had a bullet for an arm also just like Losman can.

Oh yeah, don't forget you have to say it with a Boston accent.

Maybe:

Jim Plunkett (Chicano ID + California)
Brett Favre (mobility + temperament)
Doug Flutie (elusiveness + inspirational)

but unfortunately to:

Jeff Garcia (appearance, throwing style, mobility, overachiever, Californian, etc...)
