I have heard it from quite a few people now, it started with just some friends who work at the sabres store sometimes, then I saw it on the some hockey boards and heard it on wgr.

That would be interesting. Almost a Zhitnik for Hamrlik straight up trade. -

I think he's an upgrade over Z.
For the Isles the trade was Zhitnik for Aucoin and Hamrlik.

would think with Teppo Neuminnen and Hammerlik added to the team, the sabres won't need a 30- 40 minute a night defensemanComment

Teppo is 38. I still think you need that one defensive pairing that will be out on the ice all the time late in a close game. I don't think either fits that mould. I believe Z will be sorely missed this year. He was a solid defenseman who carried the puck a lot and was on the ice all the time at the end of games.Originally posted by DozerdogComment

I'm the one on these boards who has been pining for Hamrlik, but I haven't read or heard anything from the major outlets (TSN, Sportsnet...or even the Buffalo News!) regarding Hamrlik. It's like they've all forgotten about him. Aucoin is a pretty good defenseman, but he really had his best season the last time the NHL played. Hamrlik had been fairly solid prior to that last season.
Here's hoping that this is true.....but I'll bet Darcy bids for him, only to see him go to Nashville, Carolina, or some other "small market" team.

Yea you are wrong, I remember seeing that thread. I posted saying we SHOULD get him, the admin or moderator or whateva combined threads somehow making me thread starter? I dunno it was weird. But check out my forum its just starting and would love some members
