    Bills 2003 Draft class

After reading the article on Kelsay, I realized we had a pretty good draft...in one of the worst talent pools in rescent history. Looks like TD has done his homework, I'm going to definately cut him some slack in future drafts

    RoundPickOverallPos.PlayerCollege
    1 23 23RBWillis McGaheeMiami
    2 16 48DEChris Kelsay Nebraska
    3 30 94LBAngelo Crowell Virginia
    4 14 111DBTerrence McGeeNorthwestern State
    4 30 127*WRSam AikenNorth Carolina
    5 16 151OGBen SobieskiIowa
    6 14 187DTLauvele SapeUtah
    7 14 228MLBMario HagganMississippi State

I see most of these players contributing heavily this season and all but 1 (sape) are going to make the team. Anyone else think this could be the best team draft of that 2003 crop??

McGahee was a steal and we still got Kelsay, who many wanted with our 1st round pick. The other guys, particularly McGee, are pretty good, too.

I agree. It was a great draft.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Yeah, you're right. This was probably one of our better draft years...and considering the gems we found among the undrafted last year, I wouldn't call it a bad year either!

              McGee's negatives:

Negatives: Does not have a true backpedal (more of a shuffle technique) … Makes plays on the ball, but needs to refine his angle technique (misses tackles in space) … Must show more aggression and has to get more physical when attacking the receiver … Has to use his hands with more authority in press coverage … Does not show any urgency in run support (plays like he does not want any part of it).

              wow did he change

that hit he put on Davenport reminded me of how Winfield used to hit players.
