I believe you need an Xbox adapter to connect to internet

wrong. It is built in. Hook a cable to your router and your xbox and you are golden. There is a program that bypasses xbox live so you can play over the internet for free, when I get home from work I will find out what it is (I have it on my pc).

its real easy... plug your internet connection into the system, run the disc that came with the system and thats about all there is to it
