I cant give away draft picks, even teams doing horrible want to make no changes.

I found the same frustration so I just said F it I will stick with what I got

Well i suppose thats my only choice, I think with the exception of maybe 5-6 owners a lot of it is simply laziness. Not wanting to research rankings or trade value...etc.

There is no logical explanation for not making changes on a team doing nothing.

I agree, when first starting in this league ther was alot of participation and excitement in the draft now I think people think my team sucks why even care at this point. I know this is just entertainment but I like to play to win and find sometime to strategize and prepare every week, I guess hopefully next year we will find some owners that understand the commitment and dedicate the time and make thi league even more fun

Yeah I really enjoy this league, but some owners are a drag. Either way I am sure it will pick up. Eb has done a great job, and for the most part we have great people.

I think in the future I will keep my dealings with a select few. Not worth the headache.

I have decided I will always listen to offers and get back to people promptly when they make an offer but I am done making offers to other people I am tired of people not wanting to negotiate, asking for way too much or just not bothering to respond. It is cool though I will just concentrate on Free agency and the draft

Yeah ive sort of gotten a good idea of who id like to stay/leave, and what/who I will potentially target.

The Outlaws have sparked a little so hopefully they can keep up the good work.

Judging from just randomly simming some seasons, the game as does real football is completely random, a tougher team could turn the ball over at key points against a much weaker opponent and get upset, your team on a whole is solid and should do well the rest of the way you had a tough opening schedule and have started playing well I would not be suprised if you made the playoffs

Yeah the first three games were killer.

Oh well im having a lot of fun with it, I think everyone will look forward to the off season.

I wish I had excess O-lineman to deal. Sorry man.

As for not trading and stuff, maybe some guys are just waiting to see what happens over the course of the next few weeks. I think I've improved my team, defensively with the aquiring of James at CB, and my D still sucks royal goat dick. It's frustrating.

I'm not sure anyone drafted expendable linemen. Everyone basically drafted their 5 and moved on.

I also tried to make some trades and people either wanted too much or did not want to make changes at the time.

I think a big hinderence to trading is the salary cap. Many of the teams are right up on the cap right now - which means if they are going to trade for a high cap player, they need to get rid of a high cap player. It gives you a lot less maneuver room.

As for me, I can't really justify trading players for next year's picks when my team is playing well.

"Next year's picks" are greatly over-valued, anyway, for a couple reasons. First off, any pick you trade for now won't play for you until 2007. Secondly, with only 20 sim teams and 32 real teams, there will always be a ton of talent to pick up in free agency over the off-season.
