On This Date in Bills History....

1970- Dennis Shaw finally signs his contract and reports to camp.

1978- The Broncos defeat the Bills 23-13 in a monsoon at Rich Stadium.

1985- The Bills cut kicker Chuck Nelson, virtually handing the job over to USFL alum, Scott Norwood.

1986- Joe Cribbs is traded to the 49ers, Art Schlister is waived, and Ben Williams announces his retirement. The Bills announced that 1600 season tickets had been sold since Kelly had signed a scant 24 hours before.
