Seems like alot of 1 year contracts. But that could be a misperception.

Can someone please list the Sabres on 1 year contracts/last year of contract? Just wondering how "interesting" next offseason could be.

All of the players who signed an RFA tender are 1 year deals- Hecht chose to sign a seperate 3 year deal.

Anyone under 29 years of age or anyone with 8 seasons under his belt next year will become a UFA when their 1 year RFA expires. If they don't meet the criteria above- they will be tendered another RFA at somewhere between 100- 110% of their last deal.

If they refuse the RFA, they can sign a onger term deal, or try arbitration. (If they meet certain criteria as far as seasons played)

I would say the majority of players who have signed a contract since the end of the lockout did 1 year deals. Guys like Sergei Samsanov...ect.

Also, a lot of the older UFA vets signed 1 year deals- like Forsberg
