If my league draft goes like this, who would you guys pick with my second pick which would be the eleventh overall pick? (This is a snake draft and I have the sixth pick. I also have some dirt on the picks before me so this is how it should look)...I know, too many QB's going early, but with their points totals last year, I would think about it too.

1. Manning
2. Culpepper
3. LT
4. Alexander
5. McNabb
6. Willis (Me)
7. Holmes
8. Edge
9. Moss
10. McCallister
11. ? (Me)

Why do you have the 6th and the 11th picks?

Only an 8 man league. So I have the 6th pick and with the snake draft, my 2nd pick is 11.

Well, if it is a pretty standard league as far as points. Your second pick should be a running back, but there is alot of value in the draft because there are so little teams. Hell quit this league and join a real league.

I am torn between grabbing a second RB with my second pick or going after a higher scoring QB like Green.

Scoring system? How many RB and WR do you start?

Manning, Culpepper, and McNabb in the top 5? :meh:
They were three of the top scorers in our league from last year. Higher than LT and Alexander. We were giving 1 point per ten yards and 4 points for a TD pass. Extras for 300 and 400 yard games.

Sweet! Some feedback that I can use! Thanks.

Anyone else care to add their two cents? I'm in a dilemma here!

Does our scoring vary from other leagues that you guys are in as far as RB and QB scoring?

I agree. He is up there on my list. He will toss a few INT's no doubt, but with Porter, Moss and Gabriel, they should be a potent offense. Don't forget Jordan. That could be a tough one for the Bills!

Most leagues running backs are the work horses, and the most valuable players. Then Receivers, followed by QB's.

Your league scoring system does alot for QB's. For your league keep in my Bulger, Brooks, and Farve. These guys will get you the points for 300-399, and have at least 1-3 big games a year. Becareful with bulger "sacks" Farve "Picks", and Brooks "Just stupid at times" Trent Green would be safe, in the later rounds i think palmer is going to have a good year.

Running backs is pretty standard
6pts for TD's
1pt for every ten yards, Rushing or Receiving

Each league may have penalties for Fumbles "may kill you with A. Green, and Tiki"

QB's 1 pt for every 25 yards
6 pts tds, - some amount for Interceptions.
Your league's bonus inflate QB's value.

I like Green alot, he's only 28, he's in a contract year, and only a year ago at this time he was the 3rd back on peoples board. If he can stay healthy, and hold on to the ball he could be in the fantasy top 5.

One player you should keep your eye on is Jamal Lewis.

With his legal troubles now over. With Bollier hopefully getting better, and the majorly upgraded receiving core. Todd Heap healthy again. Teams will have to respect the pass, cutting down on the times Lewis will see 8 men in the box. Also with that defense they will have many sort fields.

Even though you start 2 QBs, the drop off in value at RB is generally greater at RB than at QB, so I would definitely go with whoever you have ranked highest at RB with that 2nd pick: Portis, Lewis, Barber, whoever.

You can pick up a pretty good QB with your next pick. The ones that have been listed: Collins, Bulger, Favre, etc. are going to have pretty good years and will put up decent numbers in your scoring system. I know that a lot of people are very high on Green this year, but remember that he lost his # 2 WR and that battle has not yet been settled. With Gonzales at TE, he will put up nice numbers, but maybe not that much better than the other QBs that have been mentioned. The difference between a Portis or Lewis and who might be available with your 3rd pick could be a lot greater.

if i had that pick i'd take portis, harrison, or dillon. don't waste a high pick on a QB, you can get a decent one in the 3rd-5th rds.

What's wrong with a league with 8 teams? I know one could say that a 12 team league is more competitive, but there are better players that are on the rosters of an 8 team league as well.

The live draft that we have with beer, wings and tons of other munchies rocks too! We almost got one of the Hooters girls at our location to be our Draft Board B***h also. She chickened out. We would have paid her too! :zb:

Dominic Davis, Tiki Barber, or one of the Jones'. Wait for QB's. Brooks, Plummer, Brees, Palmer, and McNair will be solid this year and can be had many rounds later.
