1961- Quarterback Johnny Green injurs his shoulder in practice, so assistant coach Tommy O'Connell comes out of retirement and acts as a player coach.

1975- International Cable in West Seneca attempted to broadcast the Bills-Rams preseason game from Rich Stadium, with Lackawana native Ron Jaworski quarterbacking, thus violating the NFL's blackout rule. The FCC ordered IC not to broadcast the game through a Syracuse feed, or face severe penalties.

1987- After being shutout 3-0 for 59 minutes, Frank Reich leads the Bills to a last minute touchdown to beat the Raiders 7-3 at the Coliseum.

1995- The Bills cut 1994's second round pick, wide receiver Bucky Brooks.

1998- The Bills release "the quarterback of the future" 1995's second round pick, Todd Collins.
