    Bills Analysis

After watching the Packers/Bills game I have come up with the following:

    1) LT situation is fine, Gandy and Peters both looked solid.

    2) Like it or not Reed (Ronnie Harmon) is going to stay at #3, he played well enough to stay.

    3) Losman is the real deal. He does some rookie things but he is special.

    4) RB is still a big question mark. The Bills need to start Gates earlier. I thought Reshard Lee played better than his numbers showed.

    5) Cut the following players: Aiken, Brown, Burns, Goldsberry, Peoples, and Shauld Williams.

At least 5 of your 7 cuts will make it to the final cutdown.

Why should Shaud Williams be cut? He really didn't even play on Sat. except on special teams. I thought he looked good in the Indy game.

IMO, they're taking a look at Lee, Burns and Gates, since Willis and Shaud are locks.

I agree. Thats why I was wondering why he thought Williams should be cut.

I basically agree with your first four points, but only Tony Brown and Peoples are likely to be cut on or before August 30. I think Shaud Williams makes it, along with Gates as McGahee's backups, and either Burns or Goldsberry sticks. Aiken also has a good chance to survive, because he is one of our few big, physical receivers.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I think Burns stays. He is valuable on ST and is versatile as a running back and fullback.

                  I'd say it's
McGahee, Williams, and Gates at RB...with Lee making a push to supplant Gates
                  Shelton and Burns at FB

I can also see us switching to a single back offense. McGahee doesn't need a FB to be sensational, I think we'll phase it out this season.

Thurman didn't need one either but it was still good to have Carwell when it came time to grind it out

                          McGahee is Carwell.

                          Gardner: 6'2'' - 235
                          McGahee: 6'0 - 228

Who needs a FB when our starting tailback is as big as one? Not worth keeping two on the roster, at least.

We should cut Drew Bledsoe. Oh wait... that already happened!
