Anyone else insanely impressed?

While watching the second Bills preseason game and the numerous practices held during TC, i have to say, im completely sold on Lionel Gates. HES A STEAL IF I EVER SAW ONE. Though McGahee could be a bigger one. I CANT BELIEVE WE GOT HIM AT 21. WOW. we traded Peerless Price for a #1 that year and got McGahee. So we traded Price for McGahee. Anybody sore that we lost ol' Peerless?

anyway, Gates has the size of McGahee and was said to be projected in the early day two rounds, but was unknown bc of an injury during his senior year. BOY THAT TD RUN WAS IMPRESSIVE WASNT IT? |

He looks good but it's only preseason so I'll hold my judgement.

Who was that Alexander guy we had in camp for a few years? He tore the preseason up but he was just a preseason star. He never made the team or landed with any other team. I can't recall his first name.

No, he tore the NFL Europe up. So did Ken Simonton. They were both grossly undersized, especially Simonton.

I thought he look great against Green Bay but he was playing against 3rd stringers that didn't know how to tackle. With that said: I am not "insanely impressed" but I am super-impressed.
Look for Gates to challenge Williams for the number 2 spot when he gets more reps with the 1st team in tomorrows game. He will have to have a very good performance against a pretty good D in Chicago. With Gates performance so far, I'm not so sure that Lee has a spot on this team.

Given time, I think Gates will give us a 1,2 punch and If Shaud Williams continues to get better....

MM says he's going to play Gates with the 1's tomorrow nite so we'll get a chance to see how he does against the big dogs.

I will admit that I also have been very impressed with him so far. He runs very much like Henry to me, only he's bigger so he should be better at power runs and sustaining blocks. But preseason is a very deceptive lover so we won't really know until he gets his shots in the regular season.
