    On This Date in Bills History....

    1971- Atlanta defeats the Bills in a shootout 35-24.

    1977- Future Bills kicker Joe Danello kicks the gamewinner for the Giants, as they knock off the Bills in the Meadowlands, 24-21.

    1984- Kay Stevenson announces that rookie Greg Bell would start in the opener against the Patriots.

    1990- Fred Smerlas' autobiography, By a Nose is released.

    2002- The Bills fall at the new Ford Field in Detroit, 20-13.

    In other words, not a great date in Bills' history.
    Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
