I'd bring him back if it weren't for Evans.. I think PP still can be what he always was, a great COMPLIMENT to a stud #1 guy like Moulds was/is - something he obviously never had in Atlanta.

But now that he's gotten his big payday (and so did we! LMAO), it's time for him to humble himself and let reality to set in - he could have a long career as that #2 guy somewhere in this league.

The King

He woulds a benefactor of Moulds I never thought he could handle the double team. Once again I dont blame Peerless. They took him out of a pocket passer offense, one he had been in his whole life and matched him up with Vick. Right now Price is Vicks scapegoat.

Don't sprain your wrists jerking TD off.

Would the Bills have made the playoffs these last 2 seasons if they kept Price as the #2, improved their weak ass Oline, and kept Henry?

TD let a #2 WR that was kicking ass in our offense go. Price went on to prove he was no #1 WR, but as a # 2 he was solid. While it's true that WM is doing great now, he sat a whole season. That was the same offseason TD let Centers and Remersma go, giving inept Bledsoe even fewer targets to throw to. And the Bills still haven't made the playoffs since.

Thats close minded BR. Had Price said to TD "I will take #2 WR money to stay" I think he would have stayed. The problem is... Price wanted #1 money, and he obviously wasnt worth it!

It wasnt about TD wanting to let him go.. it was about Price not giving him a choice!

Right now Price is Vicks scapegoat.I couldn't agree more. Peerless isn't a #1 option, but he is a GREAT #2. He is NOT as bad as he showed in ATL by far. He's just the scapegoat for a horid passing O and over-hyped RB/QB.

I would take him back in a second.

We'd be paying Peerless a **** load of money to be a good #2, with no chance of him replacing Moulds in the future. So we basically have more money tied up into a position where good players there are a dime a dozen. How can we address the OL then?

Falcons would be better off giving offensive line men receiver numbers. He'll never be more then a running qb.

And the Bills still haven't made the playoffs since.Reimersma and Centers were done when Drew got here. Drew didn't like throwing to Reimersma. Centers was not suited for Gilbrides system that threw downfield. Don't blame TD for the direct releasing of the players. Blame him for hiring GW in the first place which later led to the realease of those players.

I was one of them! Just goes to show that sometimes players are best suited to stay where they have made their impact.

I have no doubt that he can be great for us again. But we wont resign him. Once TD makes up his mind about someone its done and he moves on.

I really dont think we need him either. Evans, Parrish, and Moulds whats he gonna be a 4th stringer? He simply wont sign here for that.

I'd take Price or even Warrick for vet min instead or Corey Simon or Troy Edwards. But in reality, I doubt we sign either, and once Parrish gets back, I'm fine w/ the WR corps we have.

Sportsuser101

Not only did we get McGahee but with the money Price signed for we signed Takeo and Sam. Added that with the fact that we dealt Kenyatta Walker for Nate Clements and Travis Henry (2 probowlers) and I'd say that on those 2 moves alone TD deserves alot of credit.

'I hate y'all,' Peerless says after being cut
Falcons release highly-paid wide receiver who didn't meet expectations

Updated: 3:32 p.m. ET Aug. 30, 2005

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - The Atlanta Falcons cut Peerless Price on Tuesday, giving up on their former top receiver after two disappointing seasons.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Price said “I hate y’all,” before speeding out of the team headquarters parking lot.

PP is a #2 receiver... however, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt playing in ATL. No other recievers to take coverage off him, and he had one of the worst QB's in the league throwing to him... not like he really had a fair shot. He was the ONLY WR in a system w/o a good QB. Put any other WR there and I think they fail miserably as well.

I bet if he goes to another team he MIGHT do well as a #1 if he has another guy w/ the same type of skillset and a QB w/ some sort of passing ability because he is a good WR. However, I think he'd have success as a #2 in any system.

believe me,moulds would have put up mediocre numbers too playing in that atl offense. a young jerry rice would puil his hair out with frustration playing with somebody like vick. he has such bland actual qb skills.

i also heard on fsn(fox sports new england) that the pats contacted his agent. pats got a ton of ppl at receiver,i cant imagine them bringing him in to.

I think Price would be a nice fit in Philly and in Dallas, but not as well. Opposite of TO is where he would have the best chance at getting back to his former level. He isn't right for Buffalo anymore.

Warrick would be a great signing for us IMO. It won't happen, but it would be nice. He was breaking out when Kitna was chucking the ball a couple years ago. He's a VERY good third down target....48 catches for 1st downs in 2003! (of course, not all on 3rd down but still...)

That said, he'd be just as suited in Philly. Anyone with his skill is going to succeed opposite of TO and with McNabb under center.

I think a Good team for him to go to would be Cincy, Dallas, or Tampa. All these teams play the kind of offense that he would work in. He would no longer work well here. It said right in one of the stories that one of the biggest knocks on him was he could not adjust his routes to help a mobile passer.
