1962- The Bills defeat the Patriots 7-6 as quarterback Al Dorrow completes 17 of 28 passes.

1980- Joe DeLamielleure was traded to the Cleveland Browns for a second round pick in 1981 and a second round pick in 1982.

1991- The Bills opened the regular season with a 35-31 thrashing of the fish, their ninth win against then in the last 10 tries. Jim Kelly threw for a career high 381 yards, and the Bills offense rolled up 583 yards against the inept Miami defense.

1996- In a rare Sunday Night road opener, the Bills fell behind the New York Giants 17-0, then rallied to win 23-20 in overtime at the Meadowlands

We should have kept Joe D and got rid of "Ground Chuck."
