All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Jerry Rice announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, closing 20 years with the NFL shortly after learning he had a choice between leaving the game or closing his career as a fourth or fifth receiver for the Denver Broncos.
I agree with all of you- Rice is probably the greatest ever, but he should have retired at least a year ago, if not two. He's simply too old and our D embarrassed him last year.
The fact that that this twenty something year veteran could STILL make an NFL squad where hundreds of others half his age cannot, is a pretty damn impressive accomplishment. I say he should have stuck it out and made THIS season his last.
I'm not one for conspiracy... but it's very possible that the Broncos would've cut him and Shanny told him "We can either cut you... or we could pretend you made the team and you retire on your own terms". No matter what they said, there's no way the Broncos would've cut him.
