    BUFFALO BILLS

Biggest changes: The J.P. Losman era officially began in Buffalo February 22 with the release of veteran QB Drew Bledsoe. Losman, who enters his second season in the NFL, takes over an offense that ranked 26th in passing. The Bills used their second-round pick to select wide receiver Roscoe Parrish. Buffalo had no first-round pick due to last season's trade with Dallas in which they moved up to acquire Losman. Running back Travis Henry was traded to Tennessee for a third-round pick after Willis McGahee established himself as the starter in 2004. Lost massive defensive tackle Pat Williams, who signed with Minnesota.

Positives: McGahee ran for 1128 yards and 13 touchdowns in only 11 games last season. Veteran Eric Moulds and Lee Evans lead a strong receiving corps. Linebackers Takeo Spikes and London Fletcher headline a defense that ranked second in the NFL last season.

Negatives: Losman has all the tools to be successful, but threw only five passes last season and will experience growing pains. An offensive line that allowed the fifth most sacks in the NFL needs to improve. Defensive line will miss Williams.

On the spot: The Bills are banking their future on Losman, so naturally the pressure is on him to continue the momentum gained last season when they won nine of their final 12 games with Bledsoe.

Prediction: The Bills have talent, unfortunately they have to play the Patriots and Jets twice each. Defense will carry the Bills to eight wins while Losman develops.

Tidbit: Finished 9-7 after an 0-4 start last season. Only one team finished with a better mark - the 1992 San Diego Chargers finished 11-5 after losing their first four games.
