Hey, hope y'all had a good New Years. Since Finheaven will be down for a spell, I figured I'd post this here. Who do you think will win the Fiesta Bowl? I'd have to say Miami will repeat as National Champs and win by at least 14 points, say, 31-17.
:machgun: Buckeyes

My head says Miami but my heart is rooting for Ohio State. Ohio State does have a chance but needs to bring there "A" game.

Depends on which Miami D shows up...The one that stuffed Tennesee or the one that got torched by VTech...

As part of my life's mission, I cheer for every team that plays any team from the state of Florida, youth leagues included. Regardless, Miami will probably win and surrender four first rounders to the NFL. What a powerhouse, but how despicable.

I hate anything Miami, but I don't see them losing.

I'd love to see the Buckeyes win it, but I doubt they will.... Hurricanes will crack the Useless Nuts....

Miami will win even though I would love to see Ohio State be national champs.

I'd love to see a Big ten team take it....but they won't.

The 'Canes are the only Florida-based team I like (and only their football teams, nothing else and mostly because of Jim Kelly) ... anyway, I think they'll win but I think it'll be close. This team always finds ways to win in the 4th quarter no matter how poorly they've played in the first 3 and I still can't see any team capable of beating them for all 4 quarters.

I just saw on ESPN and Lee Corso said the Buckeye fans are outnumbering the Canes fans 10-1. So even though Miami's favored to win, it'll still be like an away game for them. UM center Brett Romberg says those are the teams favorites cause they love to shut the crowd up.:shades:

Yeah, but OSU at home is a different team than OSU on the road.

To many distractions in Buckey land.

If Clarett brings his A-Game and grows up, that could change but I doubt it.

Ohio State had an extremely easy schedule relatively speaking and couldn't put up any points against the best teams they played. 13 v. PSU and 14 v. Michigan. Miami doesn't have the best D in the nation but they're stronger than PSU and Michigan. You need a solid passing game to beat Miami in spite of their weak rush D. OSU also beat Washington State but WSU beat a bunch of nothing teams in a conference that doesn't know what defense is. They got schooled by Oklahoma proving how good they really are.

Miami should go up early and be able to continue to score points against an OSU D that really hasn't been tested by any top offenses in the nation this year with anything even resembling the balance that Miami has on O. They're a perfectly balanced offense that if you defend the run they'll burn you with the pass and visa versa.

Miami 41-17

I imagine Miami will win. They're up by 7 as I write. Although Miami's defense has had off games, Miami is still a more complete team than Ohio State. Ohio State doesn't have a QB. They never have a decent QB. Not in Miami's league anyway.

Do you think they will hit this field goal?

For a minute there I though Wys had it right only he was backwards...it was 14-17.

If Miami holds on to win may they be forever tainted. They are not the team they said they were.

LOL

Indeed!

Typ0,

Miami just self-imploded. It was the sloppiest game I've seen Miami play all year and I've watched them 4 or 5 times.

Miami wasn't a national championship caliber team tonight.
