    On this Date in Bills History...

    1964- Bill Miller, who had 69 grabs in 1963, was traded to the Raiders for a drfat choice.

    1968- The Bills lost their season opener to the Patriots 16-7 at War Memorial.

    1969- Tom Day and Marty Schottenheimer were cut.

    1981- Quarterback Dan Pastorini, cut by the Raiders, was in Buffalo for a tryout.

    1985- Buffalo loses it's opener to the Chargers 14-9, despite Vince Ferragamo throwing for 371 yards.

    1991- The Bills pummel the Steelers 52-21 at Rich, with Jim Kelly throwing six touchdown passes, four to Don Beebe alone.

    2002- The Bills lose the opener to the Jets 37-31, as Chad Morton took the overtime kickoff 96 yards for a score.
