Frankly I'm a little worried about it. After all the great Roethlisberger's first ever NFL pass was an INT. And I still remember how Wright threw his first few passes that got or nearly got picked off. And Losman is exactly of their type: excited, pumped up, which resulted in balls sailing over the intended target. In the middle of the field, that's dangerous because defenders usually run over to the target from all directions.
I'm against the idea of openning the game with a pass from Losman because he won't get a chance to feel the actual game speed from the opposition yet despite the fact that it may catch the defense off guard. So the pass will come on a 2nd or the inevitable 3rd down. To play it safe especially at our own end at the beginning of the game, maybe a long bomb where it could sail over to no one or a pitch out to McGahee to the flank?
