    On this Date in Bills History...

    1972- The Bills sign offensive tackle Dave Foley from the New York Jets.

    1975- In the final preseason game, the Bills lose to the Chiefs 9-7, but even worse, wide receiver Ahmad Rashad is lost for the season with a knee injury.

    1999- The Bills lose the season opener at the Hooser Dome to the Colts, 31-14. Thurman Thomas was lost on the game's first play, with a lacerated kidney.

    2004- After leading for over 59 minutes, the Bills drop the season opener as Byron Leftwich throws for a touchdown on the very last play, defeating the them 13-10.
