1976- The Bills opened their season on Monday Night Football, at home, against the Fish. The Bills lost 30-21, but even worse, lost Jim Braxton for the season with a torn knee.
1981- The Bills moved to 2-0, as the spanked the Colts in Baltimore, 35-3. Joe Ferguson threw for four touchdowns.
1983- For missing three field goals in a 12-0 opening day loss to the fish, kicker Fred Steinfort was released and replaced with former Giant kicker Joe Danelo
