I've been taking note of Vic Carucci lately, and he's a moron...Here's his rankings after week 1:

1. New England (1-0): For all that has been subtracted, Brady + Belichick still equals greatness.

2. Indianapolis (1-0): If the Colts defense is as strong as it looked vs. the Ravens, this team finally has everything necessary to go the distance.

3. Pittsburgh (1-0): Could we please dispense with the talk that Ben Roethlisberger (http://nfl.com/players/playerpage/493043)'s rookie success was some sort of fluke or mirage?

4. Atlanta (1-0): The Falcons need to do a better job of capitalizing on scoring opportunities, but they are off to a good start.

5. Kansas City (1-0): Shutting down Randy Moss (http://nfl.com/players/playerpage/12576) and the Raiders would be an even stronger statement by the Chiefs' new and improved defense.

6. New Orleans (1-0): The Saints wasted no time showing they can handle being season-long road warriors.

7. Tampa Bay (1-0):

Carnell Williams</PLAYER> ' lightning-quick legs are something to behold. But how about that vaunted Bucs defense? </P>8. Dallas (1-0): Drew Bledsoe (http://nfl.com/players/playerpage/1041) delivered an emphatic "Take that!" to the many (including yours truly) who thought he had nothing left to offer as a starter.

9. Buffalo (1-0): With an outstanding defense and Willis McGahee (http://nfl.com/players/playerpage/396170), the Bills simply need J.P. Losman (http://nfl.com/players/playerpage/493000) to be as poised and efficient as he was vs. Houston and they'll go a long way.

...

10. Eagles
11. NY Giants
12. Miami Dolphins

Ok, so the Giants and Dolphins pulled out nice wins, but 11 and 12?? Carucci is a week-by-week bandwagon clown. That puts the Giants and Dolphins ahead of the Bengals, Chargers, and Jaguars. Doesn't make sense to me.

Here's the rest of it:

ESPN has us (Dolphins) at 23rd...which is about where we should be right now. A few more good wins and I would expect 12-15 in the rankings.

I do believe that the Dolphins are gonna come out and play hard every game. They have some nice offensive talent and no win against them will be an "easy win." I think perhaps it might be too early to put the Dolphins at #12, just as it's too early to think that JP is amazing. I hope JP doesn't let this win go to his head, we have 3 tough games coming up against the Bucs, Falcons, and Saints.

Anyways, back to the Dolphins. I am sure they will be playing the Jets tight this week, and I would not be surprised to see them pull off a victory against the Jets "not-ready-yet" offense.

I watched a little of the Bills game and I liked what I saw from JP. He's going to be a good one. We'll see if he can do it week in and week out.
Also, I think the Dolphins are going to be a lot better then what's expected of them. Which really makes the AFC East the toughest division in football once again. I'm really looking forward to the Jets game. It's going to be a good test for the Fins.
The tough game for the Bills will be Atlanta. The Bills should beat Tampa and NO.

The Bills will beat Atlanta, Tampa Bay will be the harder challenge IMO. You stop Vick, you stop Atlanta....You put the #1 D against Vick...he is forced to make throws he normally wouldnt make with extra time. Thus resulting in interceptions and fumbles in the hands of Vincent, Clements and Spikes. The Dolphins had a great game. Alot of things just fell into place for them like their game verse NE last year. I think the Jets will come out VERY strong next week especially being infront of the home crowd. You cant play any worse than the Jets played last sunday so I think we will see a differant team come this Sunday.
