Parcells to drop RB Jones' load
Julius Jones, RB DAL
News: The Dallas Morning News reports that head coach Bill Parcells said that he leaned too much on Julius Jones in Week 1 when he gave the second-year back 26 carries. "Julius got a little winded there in the fourth quarter," Parcells said. "I got him out for a series in the first half. I should have gotten him out at some point in the second half. The game is on the line. It's hard to take him out."
Analysis: Parcells went on to say that backup RB Anthony Thomas will get about six or seven carries a game to lighten Jones' load. While fewer carries means fewer chances for Jones to break one, it also means he'll be fresh for other carries. This shouldn't affect Jones' value much, but Thomas' raises some. He is worth picking up in larger leagues as Jones' backup.
I don't see why Jones can't drop his own load. :::
