No not apple turnovers...

Guess which team finished dead last in the league with only 19 takeaways and finished ahead of only Washington, Cincinnati, Minnesota, and St. Louis with a -12 turnover margin?

Hint: We root for them every week.

I think this stat hurt us more than anything else.

Our giveaways weren’t too too bad. We finished with 31. Just 2 more than the league average of 29.

No takeaways mean no extra chances to let our O put up points. No bonus opportunities.

The Packers?

Gimme a clue...

I gave you a clue... :D

Imagine if our O was given more opportunities to score.

I can't find the stat anywhere, but I would bet that we are last in the league in average start position. Given lack of turnovers and lack of production from Rodgers.

Lions? But I don't root for the Lions

Maybe Drew should play LB and cause some turnovers.

That would make wys happy.

We are going to win the super bowl!!!

I would like to see us draft or pick up stud FAs. We need (in my opinion) the following in order of importance.

Defensive end
Defensive tackle
Outside Linebacker
Another Defensive end (not high on Shoebel and unsure about Marcus Jones)
Free Safety
Another Outside Linebacker

Let me add that we'll need a solid replacement to Peerless if we can't resign him. Josh Reed is great, but I think a solid 3rd WR is important to the O.

You must mean the UB Bulls...one of the worst teams in the NCAA. Couldn't be our Bills.

I think this is all we need

DT Gardener (WAS)
OLB Anthony Simmons (SEA)
FS Dexter Jackson (TB)

offcorse, we need to have another solid draft too.

What about a DE Typical?

TypicalBill
01-06-2003, 09:51 AM
Well we do need a DE, but its not a major priority right now. Jones should be the starter and Ahanatu should resign. Splitting time between the two isn't a bad idea until jones returns back into his old form. They should be much more effective with a DT like gardener in the middle. Thats just my opinion :)

I gotcha.

We'll see about Jones.

I'm not high on Anahantu or Shoebel. That's just me.

Not high on Shoebel? He was the Bill's best defensive player this year. The only legitimate pass rusher. I'm almost positive most pass blocking help was on his side this year. If he get's pass rush help, his numbers will flourish.

Bill's best defensive player? Are you kidding? That isn't saying much anyway.

Pass rusher? Sacks? I only saw mostly coverage sacks.

Maybe some help will help him. I saw nothing specail though.
