Buffalo's defensive statement has Buccaneers taking notice

Only three teams since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger have finished in the top two in defensive ranking for three successive seasons.

If the Buffalo Bills ultimately join that illustrious company which includes the Baltimore Ravens (1999-2001) and the Chicago Bears (1984-88), their lethal pass rush will be one of the key reasons.

The Bills finished No. 2 in defense in 2003 and 2004 and after one week in 2005 are No. 1 thanks to a stifling 120-yard yield to the Houston Texans that featured five sacks for 45 yards in losses. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/...00/1007/SPORTS
