Dumb ass decision. The game is lost. Let him try and accomplish something. Way to show confidence in your decision to start the kid. BTW............Holcomb sure looked great did'nt he JP haters

Re: WTF did benching Losman accomplish?
I agree - only thing I can think of is they're afraid of him getting hurt, in the heat, trying to do too much to pull off the comeback..
One of the few decisions I've really questioned from this coaching staff..

Re: WTF did benching Losman accomplish?
if the game is NOT out of reach, it is not a bad idea to bench him. He had 3 quarters and did nothing. Your backup QB is a proven NFL QB who has a great possibility to produce something if Losman can't. Granted now, we see that even Holcomb didn't do squat. But hindsight is 20/20. When Holcomb was put in, the game was still within reach. Sorry, but a win is more important than a QB's development. Your coach was trying to get that W, which is a good decision.

Originally posted by KerrIt was stupid. Holcomb didn't even try to take a shot downfield. There were only dumpoffs. At his press conference, I would like to hear Mularkey say he f-up and did the wrong thing pulling him.

Originally posted by Fairwayexactly why it was stupid. I'd still disagree but see Mularkeys point if we were within 1 score
Granted TB was in a prevent, but he was able to put together a drive deep into the red zone after the benching.
I really think being out for a drive was insignificant in the big piucture. We couldn't run the ball and could not stop the run.

Originally posted by DozerdogOne series. Big whup. Give Losman a chance to collect himself on the sidelines. It's not like we were 1 score from tying it.
Give the kid a series off to collect himself and get ready for the no huddle.
Not that big of a deal.
