    The two-minute read

    Play of the game

Brian Griese's 34-yard pass to Michael Clayton midway through the third quarter. Despite a horrible offensive performance, the Bills were still hanging tough and trailed only 9-3 when Tampa Bay was confronted with a third-and-five at the Buffalo 40. A stop by the Bills would have forced a punt and perhaps the offense would have emerged from its game-long slumber. Instead, Clayton beat Terrence McGee on a post pattern and Griese fed him perfectly for a big gain. Three plays later, on third-and-goal from the 3, Cadillac Williams slammed into the end zone for the touchdown that put the game out of reach.
