On This Date in Bills History....

1965- Buffalo beats Denver 30-15, as former Bill Cookie Gilchrist gains a mere 26 yards on the ground.

1971- In a downpour at War Memorial Stadium, the Bills lose a shootout with the Dallas Cowboys, 49-37. Dennis Shaw threw for four touchdowns.

1979- Dempsey is waived, and former Falcons kicker Nick Mike-Mayer is signed to replace him.
