    A bit saddened

Not so much that the Bills aren't in the playoffs, but that they really haven't been a bona fide contender for so many years. The 1999 team, with their great defense, could have been great, but a lack of offensive production crippled them and they lost two very winnable games against the Giants and Raiders at home. Other than that year, the Bills have only been a B+ team. Making the playoffs is always nice; any team can run the table and pull of a miracle. But those situations are unlikely. And it's always nice to say you're the division champs for the year. The Bills are the ONLY AFC East team without a division title since 1995. (That includes Indy). I guess I'm spoiled; every year the Bills would win the AFC East when I grew up. Maybe it's karma working against the Bills for being so great in the early 90's, but I really want this playoff purgatory to end.

      Good point PA
Putting up points and winning regular season games is fun, but once January hits, the party's over. Once the season ends, if your favorite team fails to make the playoffs, everything just lies there. Platitudes about the next season are nice to hear but they are still platitudes. Unless the team actually goes out and wins on a consistent basis, the Bills are going to drown in mediocrity. I don't want my team to be the AFC's Arizona Cardinals. On the other hand, with parity today, the Bills do have a great chance to go far next year, so the offseason is really maddening.

I just wanted to point out that this is what I really liked about the Bledsoe trade. A lot of stuff is just talk but the fact Donohoe pulled the trigger on the deal speaks leaps and bounds about where this team wants to be. What I am saying has nothing do do with Drew Bledsoe--how he performs and what not. Just that we have him here instead of Blake tells me this team is serious about rising to the top.

It sucks we aren't in it but you gotta like these playoff games today. Way to go NFL!

If only they played flutie that day.
Political correctness ( or cancel culture as it is called today) is a doctrine fostered by a delusional ,illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by MSM which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
