1967- For the first time in franchise history, the Bills are shut out by the Patriots, 23-0.

1972- The Bills upset the 49ers at War Memorial Stadium, 27-20. OJ Simpson rushed for 138 yards.

1978- Curtis Brown returns a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown, as the Bills earn Coach Knox's first win against the Baltimore Colts, 24-17.

1987- The NFL calls off the games for the coming weekend, in an effort to organize replacement rosters for the games of October 4th. The Bills game at Dallas was cancelled.

1989- The Bills win a shootout against the Oilers, 49-47, but lose cornerback Derrick Burroughs due to a possible broken neck.
