Re: Pennington done for the year

What a bad weekend for AFC East teams and injuries. Pennington for the Jets, TKO for the Bills and Harrison for the Pats. I don't think I've ever seen a weekend when 3 teams from one division lost as many important players. Ouch...

This division went from the best in the NFL to just better than the NFC East/North

Didn't he have a problem with his rotator cuff last season?

            Yep

Now my next question, since I wasn't around much during the summer.

Didn't he have surgery or something on his shoulder during the off season?

Yep. Mortenson on ESPN tonight says that Fiedler may be out too. Pennington is going for another opinion this week but it looks like he's done for the year. Mortenson also said it's possible the Jets could try and get Ramsey from the 'Skins.

Dang - I hope they don't get Ramsey. I've always liked him for some reason and thought that Spurrier was his major stumbling block to development when he was starting out.

SNYDER is the major stumbling block to development in DC.

Was it Snyder running the college style offense?????? I thought it was Spurrier....

Spurrier was the coach of the Skins who tried to impliment his college offense in the NFL. It failed miserably. Danny Snyder is the owner of the Skins

Yeah. That's my point. Snyder has had too much influence since he bought the team and thinking he could throw any group of FA talent out there and they would mesh. At least Jerry Jones got a few rings for his meddling efforts.

                          ;-p

I gotta trade for someone if I'm the Jets......Alot of the articles I'm reading say that Pennington's CAREER could be over due to this second injury. Even if they plan on drafting someone in the offseason, they need a Ramsey, Volek or Kitna to steer the ship the remainder of this season and possibly next.

Brooks Bollinger can't be thrown into the fire like this...neither can Jessie Palmer or Vinny Testaverde who they are considering signing.

Even though the Spikes injury hurts alot........the Jets are proof that it could be MUCH worse!!!!
