1970- The Bills play their first regular season game against an NFL opponent, and get shutout by the Los Angeles Rams, 19-0. Jim Nabors, Tv's Gomer Pyle, sang the National Anthem at War Memorial Stadium.

1982- Shane Nelson undergoes surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

1992- Paced by two touchdown passes to James Lofton, and fumble recovery for a touchdown by Mike Lodish, the Bills spank the Patriots in Foxboro, 41-7.
